Privacy Policy
Your wardrobe belongs to you.
This policy explains how Digital Wardrobe handles information during our 30-person beta. Effective 15 October 2026.
Who runs the service
Digital Wardrobe is a beta service operated by the HAWA team. For privacy questions, access requests or help deleting your data, email waqasaman_ullah@outlook.com. We may ask you to verify control of your wardrobe before acting on a request.
What we collect and why
- Your profile: email, optional height and style preferences, to provide and support your wardrobe.
- Wardrobe content: uploaded clothing photos, garment details, generated garment views and saved looks, to recognise your clothes and suggest combinations.
- Optional personal try-on: a standing photo and selected clothing references, only when you choose this feature and consent to the upload.
- Service information: session identifiers, verification records, processing status, provider usage, errors, timing, device category and feedback. We use these to protect access, troubleshoot problems and improve the beta.
- Campaign labels: if you arrive through a campaign link, we may record its bounded campaign labels to understand how testers found us.
Optional profile, reminders and weather
You may add a name, height, city, Instagram username and a profile picture. The profile picture is saved privately in your account only when you agree to save it; it is separate from your temporary standing photo for try-on and is not automatically sent to an AI service. You can remove it in Optional profile, or delete the whole profile. The Instagram username helps prepare an editable caption; it does not connect your account or authorize a post.
If you opt in after verifying your email, we send up to one evening email around 9 PM Pakistan time after at least 24 hours without recorded activity. The message asks you to add clothes or plan tomorrow’s outfit. You can switch reminders off in Optional profile or use an unsubscribe link. Reminder delivery and consent settings are stored to avoid duplicate sends.
For weather, we send the selected city’s public coordinates to MET Norway through our server, with caching. We do not request your GPS location or send your email, wardrobe or profile photo to the weather provider. Forecasts are approximate and may change. Weather-based suggestions use your available wardrobe but cannot verify fabric weight, warmth or waterproofing.
Wear counts record days you mark a garment as worn; saving an outfit or viewing a preview does not count as wearing it. Sharing is optional: a share card is prepared on your device and sent to another app only when you choose to share. A card can include a personal try-on preview if that is the preview you choose. Your image and caption are not posted automatically.
Who processes your information
We use OpenAI to analyse garment photographs and prepare garment or outfit images; Genlook for optional personal try-on; Resend to send verification emails; Upstash QStash to deliver background processing messages; MET Norway for city forecasts; and OpenAI Sites with Cloudflare infrastructure to host the app, store wardrobe content and run the service. Background queue messages contain a job identifier rather than your photo. Service providers may process information outside Pakistan.
The HAWA team has administrative access to beta records for support, operations and feedback. Wardrobes are not published as a public gallery. We do not sell your wardrobe information or use your photos in our marketing without separate permission.
Provider practices and any permitted security or abuse-monitoring retention also apply. See OpenAI API data controls, Genlook privacy, Resend privacy, Upstash privacy and Cloudflare privacy. Deleting your wardrobe does not itself change a provider’s independent retention obligations.
Personal try-on photos
Our application handles your standing photo and personal preview temporarily; it does not save them into your wardrobe state or wardrobe photo storage. The preview can remain visible in the open page, and you can download it to your own device. We request deletion of the temporary customer and garment records from Genlook after result delivery or a failed submission. Our upload requests specify a one-day expiry as a fallback. A closed page or failed connection can delay our deletion request; provider expiry is a fallback, not a guarantee of immediate deletion from every provider system.
Ordinary wardrobe photos can include people. These originals are saved as wardrobe content and may be sent to the relevant image service. Crop out faces, other people and private surroundings where practical.
Storage and retention
Wardrobe photos, generated garment views, profile details, saved looks, beta activity and job records remain in our active storage until you delete your profile or the HAWA team removes them. There is no automatic expiry for a saved wardrobe at present. A browser session lasts up to 90 days; session expiry does not delete your wardrobe. Verification codes expire after 10 minutes and are single use. Old verification challenges are cleared as part of subsequent email requests.
Your choices and deletion
You can edit garment details and preferences, choose not to use a personal photo, or stop using the beta. To remove your account and stored wardrobe, open My profile & beta settings → Delete my profile. This removes your profile, saved wardrobe, uploaded assets, activity, processing records and email access from our active application storage, including optional profile details, its picture, wear history and reminder records. If a personal try-on is in progress, wait for it to finish before deleting. A failed deletion will show an error so you can retry or contact us. Removing one garment card is not the same as deleting all uploaded files; use profile deletion to remove the stored wardrobe.
Deleting a profile does not remove files you downloaded, browser copies on other devices or data a provider must retain under its own policies. If you cannot access your wardrobe, contact us using the email above.
Cookies and device storage
We use a secure, HTTP-only session cookie for access, session storage for campaign labels, and browser memory or local storage where needed for the wardrobe interface. We do not add advertising pixels to this beta. Existing owner tools may use browser storage for prototype data. Use your own device and verify your email before signing out or changing browsers. Add-to-home-screen is optional.
Age, permissions and changes
This beta is for people aged 18 or older. Upload only photos you own or have permission to use. Do not upload someone else’s personal photo without their consent. We will update this page if our data practices change and highlight material changes in the service.
